The hardest Color My Flag flags are D-tier because the template is busy, not because the country is obscure. You have seen Portugal. You have still painted it purple in a thumbnail-style miss. This list is the ranking. The how-to is hard flags. The slow-round plan is how to win.

D-tier core

• Portugal. Green, red, gold sphere and shield. Wrong field colors erase the emblem. Official 0.67% art is this country on purpose.
• Mexico. Italy’s tricolor plus the eagle. Skipping the bird is an Italy submit. Painting the bird on green is worse.
• Brazil. Green, yellow lozenge, blue globe, white band, stars. Five layers. Sequence them. Gallery art with a pink Brazil is a warning.
• Spain. Fat yellow, red caps, arms toward the hoist. Arms last.
• Saudi Arabia. Green, white script, sword. Two colors. The hard part is not adding a third.
• Ecuador and Bolivia. Andean tricolors plus arms. Colombia is the easy cousin; do not submit Colombia on these templates.
• Sri Lanka / Bhutan / Brunei. Busy charges on a unique field. Field first.

C-tier that feels D on mobile

• United States. Easy to know, easy to ruin with pink stars. Bands, canton, stars — in that order. See accuracy tips.
• Australia and New Zealand. Union Flag canton plus fly stars. Wrong star color loses.
• Norway and Iceland. Fimbriated Nordic crosses. Field, cross, outline.
• Malaysia / United States cousins. Many stripes plus a canton.

How to play a D-tier round without dumping Streak

1. Identify the base geometry from the tier list hub.
2. Fill every large official color from the flag color chart.
3. Place one emblem carefully.
4. Do not invent shading.
5. Submit with time left rather than adding a decorative hue.

If the D-tier country is also a twin (Mexico versus Italy), solve the twin first using similar flags. The eagle is step two.

Practice that actually transfers

Do not grind random hard flags while inverted A-tier twins still kill you. Warm up on easiest flags, then take one D-tier country per session. Portugal for a week is better than a roulette of Bhutan, Brunei, and Turkmenistan.

One more D-tier habit: if the template shows a coat of arms, count the base colors before you count the charges. Portugal has two fields. Mexico has three. Brazil has a field plus a lozenge plus a globe. If you cannot name those colors in order, you are not ready to draw the eagle. Glance at the flag color chart, fill the bases, then attempt the art. That is the same advice as accuracy tips, restated because D-tier players skip it. The opponent who only paints green and red on Portugal will still beat a five-color scribble. Be the opponent with two correct fields and a careful sphere.
